Tracy Marback

Softball Instructor

Tracy Marback, a Bismarck, North Dakota native and St. Mary’s Central High School graduate, went on to play four years at Minnesota State University–Moorhead. A versatile utility player who later became a standout at third base, Tracy posted a career .329 batting average, earned two first-team All-NSIC honors, and helped lead her teams to two regional titles and back-to-back national tournament appearances. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from MSU–Moorhead, followed by a master’s degree in Kinesiology–Sport Psychology with a cognate in Educational Leadership.

With more than 20 years of coaching experience, Tracy’s career includes serving as a graduate assistant at the University of North Dakota, head coach at Quincy University (DII), and head coach at both University of North Dakota (DI) and Mayville State University (NAIA). After a brief career change, she returned to the dugout in 2021 and became the head coach at Glenwood City High School in 2024. That same year, Tracy was inducted into the North Dakota USA Softball Hall of Fame—20 years after her mother earned the same honor.

Tracy now brings her wealth of experience and passion for the game to ISA West.
