Danielle Tschann
Softball Instructor
Danielle is a graduate of Austin, Minnesota, where she was a multi-sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She earned All-Conference honors four times in high school and capped her career by being named to the All-State Softball Team in 2012.
She went on to play at the University of St. Thomas under Coach Tschida from 2012–2016, where she was a two-year starter at catcher and first base. Danielle was a key contributor on two NCAA Division III World Series teams, finishing 3rd in 2014 and 7th in 2016. Highlights of her collegiate career include hitting .395 as a junior, earning MIAC Player of the Week honors as a senior, and posting a .350 batting average her final season. During summers, she competed with the Mankato Peppers.
Following her playing career, Danielle transitioned into coaching. She began as the Assistant Head Coach at Benilde-St. Margaret’s, helping lead the program to back-to-back State Tournament appearances in 2017 and 2018. She later joined Stillwater High School in Wisconsin, where she was part of a state tournament run in 2021. Today, Danielle is the Assistant Coach at New Richmond High School.
With experience coaching both infield and outfield, Danielle has a strong passion for hitting and player development. She is dedicated to not only improving athletes on the field but also helping them grow as individuals. Excited by the level of talent in the area, she looks forward to continuing to develop players as part of ISA West.
